Manifesto

A house on the country side, Lavender swaying with the rhythmof the wind, children playing care free with a ball, a comfortingsmell coming from the kitchen and an elderly woman perched on the terrace with Singer sewing machine that she inherited from her mother. Her granddaughter, at her side, passionate and in awe watching her create a piece of clothing right before her eyes. This woman dedicated her life to children. She profoundly adored the daintiness and energy of a child; of children. This woman was my grandmother. Her name was Lucienne. Everyone called her Lulu.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always loved designing, creating, dreaming…

The little girl eventually became a mom as well and the need to share that passion for creation that was passed down grew more and more present. Grew stronger. Like all mothers, the birth of our child changes many things in a life, and matures us as a woman.

Profoundly passionate when it comes to fashion, I threw myself into the online search of acquiring only the prettiest of clothing for my daughter. Unfortunately to my surprise it is extremelyhard to find clothing that is designed and fabricated here in Quebec. 

Maison Lulu has but one goal, to offer you a quality line of artisanal pieces for you little ones. All of our fabric is local to Quebec with a high respect towards nature always kept in mind. All of our pieces are created and assembled with passion here in Montréal. 

Because fashion is not just an affair of richness or high class.

It brought me great pride wearing the pieces that were designed and made for me with love. I can only hope that Maison Lulu brings you the same feeling of pride and love that it did for me and that I can translate the passion and quality for fashion my grandmother had into each piece.
